I'm a reservist in the Canadian Forces. I just did my Battle Fitness Test last Thursday and my feet are in pretty rough shape. I got smaller boots, was wearing the 2 sock system, all that stuff but I still got terrible blisters and hot spots on my feet.
I was wondering how I go about getting a chit for non-issue boots. I think they'd help me out a lot. Do I go to a civilian specialist or a military doctor? My unit doesn't mind what I wear so long as it's comfortable, but if I go away on course I'll have to wear my issue boots and that will cause a lot of problems. So it's better just to get a chit now.
