How do i introduce a male mouse to a female?

Okay long story short:
My boyfriend bought a mouse to feed to his snake. Well the snake was dead so now I have a mouse. Right now she's kept in a rubbermaid box on my dresser. I give her sweet feed and shavings from my barn. I'd like to give her a boyfriend but I kno nothing about mice. Would they get territorial and fight? She seems content but I'd like to get another to keep her company. I think she's a "fancy mouse" she's small and white. She was sold as "snake food" but I saw that the same type is sold as a pet.

you have to ethier get a split cage or two separate cages until about a week when they Will no each other
