How do I introduce a rat to my cat?

There are actually a few questions here, I am thinking into getting a rat and I want to get the biggest Species does anyone know? And also I have a house cat that likes to catch small lizards in the patio but he is very friendly to new living thing like dogs is it possible to see if they bond? And also I hear that rats need at least one more rat can I maybe see if my cat can substitute a friend or give it 24/7 attention? And one last thing out of these names which one is your favorite? Hey piggy first of al my cat is an indoor cat that is scared of anything bigger then a lizard and pluse a rat is going to be new to him he has NEVER seen one before I'm more worried about him then the the rat cuz my cat is going to be scared out of his mind about something that big

Rats should not be introduced to cats. The cat could bite/attack the rat. If it doesn't kill him, the rat could get infected by the poison-like plaque on the cats teeth. And if the cat knows they are there, he will try to attack and kill them.

You really will be "Broken haert" if you try to introduce your rat and your cat; it will end in tears as the cat will try to kill your rat.

I suggest Einstein as the best name - at least there will be one who has some brains there!
