How do I introduce my dog to our new kitten?

I'll give a little history. We brought a kitten home a few months ago. Long story short, there was a confrontation between him and our dog and the new kitten was hurt. ( the dog became protective of her food dish and head butted the kitten and the kitten got a fractured skull) :-( We gave the kitten to our vet. My husband brought a new kitten home and we all instantly fell in love with her but we are all SO worried! How can we prevent another kitten from getting hurt? Our dog has NEVER been aggressive before that. She is a very good and nice dog. Any advice will be helpful so we can prevent any injury to our newest family member.

hard one,

you will just have to do it natrually and let them learn there selfs, if the dog does something bad, punish it I'm sure it will come to the dog sooner or later and he will no what he is doing it wrong

well u can feed your dog 2-3x a day and put food up when he is done. let him eat for so long then put it up.. Make it fun or ur dog. like make him watch u play with the kitten like a lil paper ball.. and ur dog will wanna play too...
Sitting on the couch with her new kitten in your arm and your dog on the other side of u and watch TV. remember to be calm don't let ur dog know u are worried about this... If he seems he wants to be the dogs of the house.. Roll him over to his back. to a submissive position. hold him down and put the kitten in his chest. that is showing him .. the kitten is on top and he is not the boss! good luck
