How Do You Give a GOOD Back Massage?

Yeah....so I suck at giving back rubs. I don't know what it is....but my hands just aren't that strong, and I don't really know what to do when giving one. I danno, I think I'm to impatient or something.

I feel bad because my boyfriend gives me really good back rubs, and I can't do as good of a job for him. Haha, he still likes it, but he says I'm too gentle. However, when I press harder my fingers get too stabby. ((seriously, my fingers are just really sharp)) Haha, so what are some tips? Even some good youtube vid's or something would be helpful.

Okay, I'll explain it the best I can with out being able to show you.

Use your palms and whole hand more than just the fingers or you'll get tired too fast. Rub your hands over his whole back using oil or something, do not rub on his spine. First go straight down a few times and back up each time not breaking contact between down and back. then rub in a circular motion all the way down and back up a few times, you can experiment with different types of rubs...it all feels good, at the bottom of his back where the ribs stop do it very light though because that's where the kidneies are and you can damage them if you press too hard there. Use your fingers to get under and around the scapula/shoulder blades, and then knead his shoulders as if you were kneading dough to make bread. When you're finished with the massage barely slide your finger tips over his back...this is call nerve stroke. He'll let you know what feels good and what doesn't. You can get stress balls to squeeze to help make your hands stronger. Good luck.

Why don't you check online to see if any massage courses are offered. Meanwhile, get a 3" rubber ball & cut it in half. Now, you have to 1/2 balls to squeeze to strenghten your hands & fingers. Even when you are on the phone you could be exercising your free fingers.
