...in company with a ferret? i have had my polecat ferret for a year and a half, i got a ferret couple of days ago, but my polecat seem to be distressed in the ferrets company, i have kept them in cadges to stop fighting as i am scrared that they might hurt each other, they have been in contact once but my polecat wasnt so keen to soicolise with the ferret she got very stressed out, The ferret has been brought up with other ferrets and is very friendly, I need a few tips on how to help them get along, Please help!!

put them in seperate cages but put the cages together so they can see and smell eachother, you might have to do this for a few weeks untill you see them maybe sleeping next to eachother in there cages. or if you have a really big cage seperate it in half, (like with a screen) put one on one side and the other in the other. they will get use to eachother but it will take time.
Aren't polecats loners, I've heard they live alone. I have ferrets, seven, and they all live together in perfect harmony.
