How do you introduce two cats?

Im thinking about getting another cat. I have one cat (female) , and shes turning 2 in December.

She's an indoor cat, but she's had some bad experiences with other cats. we have a glass door, and she met our neighbor's cat , and the neighbor cat hissed at Cola. cola had no reactions the first few times... then she ran away lol.

she met my friend's cat one time (her cat visited). her cat was about 6 months old. cola went to sniff her, and then she hissed at cola :0

we're thinking about getting another cat now (probably a boy). how should we introduce them? and would it be okay if we brought home a kitten ?

Perhaps lock them in a room together to see of they want to mate.

The best way to introduce them is supervised and slowly.I got a female kitten(female) about a month ago and recently got another this time male i was so eager to get him home so that they could play but once we got there it was a nightmare.The first night went great they sniffed each other played and curled uo and fell asleep but the next day Chicago(female) wanted to play and Hollywood(male) just wasnt having it.He hissed at her and then bit her (not in the playing manner) so i put him in the cage so that they could see each other without actually being in contact,this seems to be working.He'll play with her for a very liitle while and when he's tired he goes back into the cage sorry the story was so long but i hope i helped )))))
