I'm jealous of people who can just go to a bar on a Friday night and make friends. I might have some kind of social anxiety, but I have trouble just butting into people's conversations, especially since they're usually in groups. Don't want to look desperate like that.
What's the secret? What's the formula for an appropriate entry into the conversation, and how do you stay in without seeming clingy? What are some examples?
Thanks.
PS. Please no more of that 'Did you see the fight outside' example. Think that's the only one I ever see when I try to find openers online.
