How do you stop a mental prime minister from introducing a realy huge stupid tax?

Gillard is going to force australians into paying carbon tax because she's awful with money. Carbon tax is a tax on australian carbon dioxide emissions. The tax is supposed to cut pollution, even though it merely gives carbon dioxide a dollar value.
It will not allow Gillard to manipulate global climate or influence sea levels.
How do you stop a prime minister who is insane?

You can't. Maybe a large petition near election time... but that'd only last until after she was re-elected. Could try the Guy Fawkes method, but it's risky...
