How does one choose a good place?

I'm thinking about getting a gift card as an additional gift for my fiancee at a massage place. Problem is there is a lot around here, some of them fairly new. How do I choose the best place so she has a good experience?

Feel free to call around to those places in your area and get a feel for the professionalism they offer.

Are they friendly on the phone?
Do they answer your questions?
Check out their marketing tools - are they professional?

You could also go in person to check out the place. Most spas are more than happy to give tour of their rooms and facilities. Even if it is not a spa - I am sure that any good professional would be willing to let you look around.

Ask others you know.
Word of Mouth they say is the Best advertising. So, ask everyone you know, who gives the best massage in town? Then make a list of the places they recommend and give them a call.
It would also depend on what sort of massage or treatment you wanted her to recieve. If there is a particular technique, like CTS, NMT or MFR that you want her to try, then that would also narrow down your search.

If she isn't allergic.. I always like the Seaweed Wrap as the best "bang for your buck", if you aren't sure about the massage.

It should leave her feeling pampered, relaxed and mushy!
