1. Absolutely. We have gained clients from local publicity. I have gained clients from internet publicity.
2. Absolutely. Our active clients feel some pride/vindication when we receive good publicity, and some inactive clients return when we receive publicity.
3. Yes. Our business does not use CRM at this time, but it can be beneficial if contributing to the chosen cause doesn't become a financial drain.

I happen to think publicity, especially cause related, is a great match for those in private practice, and highly underutilized.

In private practice we are literally asking our community to support us. It makes sense to likewise invest in that community.

Usually this takes the form of a perceneforum.xxxe of proceeds beig donated during a special time of the year, an example is yoplait, donates 10 cents for every yogurt lid up to a specified amount each year for breast cancer, help finding the cure.

The benefits, the obvious benefits to the cause that is being helped is that it gains extra publicity (something that is very important) and it also gains money.

the benefits to the business participating, and my example was yoplait, is the increased sales. during the time fram the send a lid in campaign is going on Yoplait sales go up considerably.

The offset to them is that the good will they have created results in
1. more customers
2. customer loyalty

so for both it is a win win situation.

Ok, so it is kind of like when a local therapeutic riding program that my husband has been volunteering working ont heir horses for, recently had a fundraising event, and we went, he did chair massage there, and we donated a portion to the center. Right?
