how long is long enough to introduce my dog to his crate.?

i have a 1 year old staffy and i've been getting him used to his crate and ive had it down for 4 days now and he completely accepts it and i can shut the door for around 30-40 minutes while we are cleaning for example. he will nap in it and goes in it on his own in the evening for a snooze lol. he will also eat and drink in it and chew on toys etc.
im only asking because we have to go out tomorrow and i will need to leave him in it for about an hour and a half because otherwise he chews the house down (hence the need for crate).
i only need it to be down while we are out. and obviously i will take him for a walk beforehand and leave him kong nylabone etc.
any ideas?
 
As long as you take him out and don't give him too much water before you leave he should be fine.
