how loyal would you be to a massage therapist?

I am looking to go back to school for massage therapy and I am already looking towards my own business. I was wondering, if you found a massage therapist who did great specials and great quality massages would you be loyal to them?

for example on specials-
~Buy 2 or 3 and get one FREE(of course the first 2 or 3 would have to paid for up front)
~Half off one massage for every referral(up to 3)
~Free gift basket of products after 6 massages.


Those are just a few ideas to build clientele, just wondering if anyone else thinks great incentives would help build and keep clients coming back. More suggestions or tweaking of my ideas are appreciated!!
well, I'm not charging anything yet. i see your point and agree. i think those are great suggestions. maybe after a year or two of doing it i could do bigger incentives like that for the most loyal clients, and only for a limited time.

If you can afford to give this much away, it looks like you are charging too much. Use the same idea, but be less generous. For example, pay for the first three massages and the fourth is half price. For each referral, get $10 off your next massage. I saw a comment from another massage therapist that she gives clients 10 "massage bucks" for each referral and they can choose how to spend it - take $10 off the next massage, put it toward a gift certificate, accumulate massage bucks until they pay for a full hour massage, upgrade to a longer time or add hot stones, whatever.
