How many spaboom gift certs have you sold since Nov1?

I have been part of spaboom for nearly a year. I have sold 19 so far, and expect to sell a lot more this weekend, I put an ad in the paper on the front page this past Sunday and again tomarrow. I have been selling a lot of certificates online to people I dont recogize their names and most are local. I am assuming it is because of my ad. Since Sunday, I have sold 6 online gift certificates with price ranges of $30 to $118.

I don't use Spaboom for online gift certificates, I just use a PayPal shopping cart on my website. I've sold about 50 this week (30 on Wednesday alone, which I thought was very odd, I was expecting most to be over the weekend before Christmas). That's with no promotion, just my website ranking well in search engines, about a third have been purchased by people overseas or in another state, which is less than I normally do. Average has been $150.

I've sold a few through SpaBoom, a few through SpaEmergency, and tons as a result of my most recent email newsletter. My huge day for sales was yesterday (Friday). I am wondering if there will be more sales today and tomorrow!

One of the Spa Emergency GC's had to be refunded, though, because the woman from out of state thought I was in her state. Her neice lives in a town with the same name as mine. That was kind of funny. She realized it quickly and the money was sitting in Paypal, so it was relatively painless to refund it, at least.

I have sold 31 online since Nov.1 (5 with spa emergency)... not sure how many at the office, I will have to add them up. Thursday was my biggest sale day total. I have sent email newsletters, snail mail postcards, and have it on my voicemail to promote online gift certificate sales. Most of my online sales are people I do not know.
I've also had a ton of people just walking in to buy gift cards. I am a 1 woman show, and they just happened to catch me in between sessions, I have no idea how many I've missed while with a client. Next year I am definately having an assistant just to answer the phone and sell gift cards for the holidays. This week was crazy and I am so glad it is over!

Wow, Stonegirl, that's amazing! Congrats! I definitely will promote gift certificates better next year, this is the first Christmas season I've been serious.
Through Spaboom, I've sold 6 since November. Just 1 in November, 5 in the last couple weeks. It's exciting for me!

Wow! I just counted and I sold 37 online with Spaboom since November 1! I have no idea how many I sold in the office, a ton I know. There are two of us in the office, me and one IC. I'm willing to bet we sold 200 GCs between the two of us, I'll have to count when I go in on Wednesday. It's been a good year!

The star boxes from OTC were a big hit! In fact we ran out of 3 doz so fast, we tried to order more...but they were out, so we had to order these cute (but difficult to assemble) snowflake boxes, then we ran out of those too (2 dozen). I am thrilled to have surpassed our expectations, but kicking myself for running out.

We are already planning for next year!

I too had the star boxes. Clients really loved them. I bought 5 dozen of them and ran out. A few of them werent glued right, mostly the red ones. I folded them ahead and taped them to my cabinets. If I hadnt done that, people would have been waiting a while while I folded the boxes. I was an expert at them after the first 2 dozen! I would fold a few between clients. They all went, but blue was the most popular. I opened up a dozen at a time, and the blue ones would always go first.

I will try to order more or similar style boxes for next year, probably double what I had this year.

I think I sold about 10 from spaboom in the month of December. I currently use propay.com for my credit card processing and I can't process my last charge because I've reached my limit of $1,000/month! I'm going to be opening an account with my bank in January so I'm not upgrading my propay account, but I've been happy with the spaboom response!

Wow, gang!

Sounds like you guys really know your stuff with Spaboom. I'm not doing so well with it. I guess it's because I'm still new to marketing. Is there anything you guys can recommend to help bump Spaboom GC sales? I have the website on my business cards as well as my specials/referral cards. Thanks in advance for the help.

Not using SpaBoom, just selling gift certificates from my website, I can say that my website ranking well in search engines for ' massage gift certificate'. There is lots of info in the Website section on this message board on how to help rank well.
