how much do massage therapist make?

Hello i was wondering how much on average a massage therapist makes in southern cali, i don't think those websites that tell you the average salary is right so if there are any massage therapist out there can you tell me how much you make working a full 5 days a week about 6 hours a day.

i know this is a lot for the average massage therapist but this is how often my friend works and i think she is not making as much money as she could.

I work at a yoga studio and we have massage therapists here..they get paid by appointments..usually at least 3-6 appointments a day 6 days a week..so they can make over 7,000 a month.. But it also varies..some days there are no appointments.

i live in wisconsin, and i'm not sure how the rates here compare to california, but my massage therapist charges $75 for one hour.

so if you worked 6 hours a day that would $450 per day. times 5 days in a work week, and you're looking at $2250 per week. if you multiply that by the 52 weeks there are each year, that's $117,000

however, that's the best possible scenario. some days there are no appointments, so you've got to factor that in.

since you live in california, i'm guessing they charge even more, since everything seems to be more expensive out there.

according to google the median salary is around $50,000 a year.

it depends how good you are. the possibilities for earning a lot of money are pretty good, providing that you can be fully booked each day.
