How should I introduce my kitten to new baby?

I've got a 3 year old cat that did just fine when my son was born with the occasional having to get him down out of the bassinet before he was here. My only problem now is that I have a very curious kitten (about 6 months old) who gets into everything and anything so unlike my cat when he was a kitten. I am 19 weeks pregnant and the kitten doesn't go around me a lot, he is kinda like my husband's pet. My Samson (3 yr old cat) is always around me and wants to be close to me like when I was pregnant with my son but the kitten (Shadow) just lays around when he is not tearing up things in the house. I am wondering the best way to introduce Shadow to the baby stuff (we aren't getting anything til December/January) since he is such a different cat than Samson was/is. Please help. Also I got Shadow while having a 3 year old son in the house, but he wasn't around for very long before going to his grandmother's house for school. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Shadow tends to be the rough type of cat, I have been scratched many times by him even though he didn't mean it.
