How should Introduce my new puppy to my dog?

I'm getting a new puppy Chihuahua (sp?) she is three weeks right now so I have to wait 3 more weeks till I can bring her home. I currently have a Chihuahua part terrier. She is 15 yrs old and VERY territorial over my home and me. I've had other dogs in the past but they were all out door dogs, and never came inside. The few times I did let one in she barked and tried to bite him (he was a boxer so she wasn't going to hurt him lol).
Is there a special way I should introduce my dog to the puppy? Since this is a puppy will she maybe not "attack"? How should I go about doing this?!
@unspoken_lullaby Thanks for the info about the 8 weeks thing! The person that is giving me the dog told me 6 weeks. I'll let him know I want to wait for 8 weeks.
