How soon to treat?

I have got to thinking. If a person has suffered a miscarriage how long would you leave it before treating? Any thoughts on areas to avoid or treat gently?

Hi Siobhan,

If the lady was already receiving Reflexology I would continue to treat as normal.

My wife is treating a lady who is trying to conceive and, at her last treatment about a week ago, she told my wife that she had miscarried at about 6 weeks. She still wants and is having Reflexology beacuse she is convinced that it will help her conceive and have an easy pregnancy.

So much depends on the lady concerned and at what time she miscarried. She might not want to see anyone or receive treatment if the miscarriage occurs late in the pregnancy - although I do believe that regular Reflexology would help a lady, in this circumstance, to recover from the effects - both physical and mental - and perhaps prepare her for her next attempt.

I would be happy to treat someone immediately after a miscarriage if they wanted it, but as I adjust the treatment for someone trying to conceive depending on whether it is the first or second half of the cycle, unless she had resumed her cycle, I would treat her with caution.

straight away mate...done it with one of mine, she had two miscarriages and treated preconception and throughout, third time lucky, had a little girl 3 weeks ago!!
