How things have changed

I had something to do in town over the weekend and as I was leaving, I passed by my old neighbourhood.
Lots of changes, including at least four massage parlours or spas that weren't there when I lived there.
All within five minutes of where I lived.
Maybe it's a blessing that they weren't so easily accessible when I lived there.

if "in town" refers to Toronto then yup, a lot of changes, mostly for the worse. (Granted, this is from the perspective of someone who remembers the last time the Lord Stanley silver appeared on Yonge St, so the standard "old man yelling at clouds" caveat applies.)

In terms of absolute numbers, there are fewer licensed spas here now than pre-COVID (about a hundred fewer, based on the list at the City of Toronto website), but the number does seem to be creeping back up lately. And definitely, some neighbourhoods seem to be filled with them.

Too many spas .. not enough reasonable talent, mostly just elderly women that have realized the amount of money a man will pay to be touched….
