How to introduce a Great Dane to a Chihuahua?

I have a fairly territorial Great Dane who isn't to good with other male dogs and the other day my son found a Chihuahua on the road and has been keeping it in his room. I feel bad for the Chihuahua because my sons only home once a week so he is always locked up. I want to introduce the Dane to him but I'm scared that our Dane won't enjoy him very much. Triton, our Great Dane, is getting better with little animals but I'm still a little worried about the out come.
Does anyone have any idea what I might be able to do about this?

take the chihuahua out of your son's room and pick it up and show it to your Great Dane but be ready if your dog trys to do anything. don't let the great dane get to close yet. let them get to know each other but while the chihuahua is in your hands. hope this helps your problem

Hold Chihuahua in your arms and let Dane sniff. If appears to make a move show that you disapprove of behavior.

Yeah its called kick your son's ass for lying to you for one and two try and find the chihuahua's owners if you haven't already. If you can't find the owners drop the lil bugger off to animal control. You have dog that is not good with other male dogs and hasn't had those issues properly worked on. No way in hell I would hope for the best with a dog that small.
