How to introduce a new ferret?

I've had my ferret for about 9 months, I just brought home another one a couple days ago. The new ferret (male) is being attacked by my other ferret (female) so I've had to separate them. Any ideas on how to bond them?

Don't seperate them, this is completely natural. its simply them trying to figure out whose the dominant ferret. ALL fuzzbutts do this. It can take a few hours to a few months for them to completely accept one another but usually maybe two weeks tops. Just let them be, they may hiss, squeak snarl and they will grab at each other's necks and either drag or alligator roll each other around. (the dominant one is the one that does all the grabbing and rolling lol) the only reason you need to seperate them is if blood is drawn or if one ferret literally poops itself from fear. Otherwise let them be it might sound painful and whatnot but no blood no foul.

You pretty much have to let them do it. I hope both of them and spayed/neutered and descented(if you got them from a pet store they are). Gender is no object if they are both fixed. Just let them play together in a large space before you confine them. They bond on their own. But having a new toy or treat for both of them will relieve some tension.
