I found a stray cat and have had it for about a year. He doesn't go outside and doesn't really seem to want to. He is about 2 years old (vet said by his teeth) and very playful. He is a male cat that we have had neutered.
We recently brought home a male kitten about 2 months old. We let them both run around the house and do their own thing. The kitten is so playful that he won't leave my older cat alone. My cat gets scared and runs away from him. If he gets cornered, he hisses and paws at the air. The kitten will run around the house and my older cat will follow it around even though he hisses at him.
Now my cat just lays either on my bed, or under it all day. If i try and pet him, he tenses up. At one point he started growling and then hissed at me and ran under the bed. It seems like he gets mad when the kitten climbs onto our bed (our older cats bed).
Will they get over this or will i have to give the kitten away? Could it be because the kitten is a male and not neutered?
Help me please!
