I have a 3 year old tabby cat, she is pretty laid back and when she's around new animals (dogs or cats, doesn't matter) it takes her a few days to adjust and not hiss and hide. My boyfriend is moving in with me and he has a 100 pound, 11 year old husky/wolf mix. While his dog is on the older side, for her breed, we're worried that she may be aggressive or too excitable when introduced to my cat. My boyfriend doesn't want to try putting her in a crate (he says that she'll just chew it up and/or completely destroy it), but we are going to try a muzzle and leash (initially) so as to not let his dog run wild after the cat. Does anyone have any other suggestions as to how you introduce BIG dogs to cats?
