I have a winter white Russian dwarf hamster and I've owned it for 4 months. I wanted to get a friend for her, so yesterday I bought another one. The new one is a female also, but soooo much smaller than my older one. Idk if she's just a baby or what, but she's like 1/3 the size of my older one, they said she was a runt. So I got another cage, because I was going to introduce them by switching them from different cages. So I cleaned both and put wheels and igloo's in both and then this afternoon I switched them, and my older one was like freaking out smellingg everything but the new one wasn't. So then like an hour later I was holding each of them and put them on the floor and they were kinda just ignoring eachother and then my older one was trying to smell her butt so I grabbed her and she bit me, but it didn't bleed. And then started hissing, and the baby one was so scared so I put them back in there cages. Anyone have any hints on how to make them bff's thanks!!
