how to introduce older BF to my parents?

this is very complicated, at least for me it is.

2 weeks ago i went on a blind date with a guy, my friends had warned me that this guy was older than me by a bit. I decided to go but only if my friend went with a date of hers, so w1went, we met and it was an instant attraction and connection. it was amazing, he was very respectful, honest,fun and romantic!! my parents caught me texting with him, and my dad got FURIOUS, so furious he wont let me use my cell AGAIN. i told my mom how were only friends, how he is very sweet, respectful and religious also, she seemed to like him and kept on telling me that next year i can have a boyfriend. so i went on another date behind their backs, we kissed and hugged and he asked me out, i accepted! so now that were officially dating, he wants to meet my dad, (even though my dad clearly DOES NOT want me to talk to him AT ALL), i want to introduce him to my parents, there's only one thing, I'm 16 hes 22. i don't want him to lie but he can easily b mistaken to be on his late teen years. i also had told my mom he works as a tutor in school, which he doesn't but he works. i told her that so she wouldn't be all wondering where i met him.

i want to now how to tell my dad that i want to have a BF and that im a responsible girl who knows how to take care of herself.

i want to know how to tell my dad that age doesn't matter

and i just want your suggestions PLEASE

If you dad is furious about you going on a blind date. He will be really furious when he finds out his age. You BF is religious so he might not lie to your parents about his age when asked. There is a bit of an age gap there you still have some more growing to do. Best wishes

I totally understand how you feel about this guy, but 16 and 22 is quite an age gap! Now, I'm not going to get on my high horse and tell you this is totally wrong, as I am 16 and my boyfriend is coming up to 20 now, but that is less of an age gap.
I'm lucky that my parents were understanding when they first met him, and gave him a decent chance (I was 15, he was coming up to 19), and we're currently very happy together.
But you've got to understand that all your dad ultimately wants to do is look after you and make sure you don't get hurt. Also, telling your mom that he works as a tutor in your school wasn't the best idea in the world I don't think, as I don't know what it's like where you live, but here if you work in a school and date a pupil it's illegal, regardless of age, so your mum may get the wrong idea and this would be horrible for everyone involved.
Do not lie about his age! If you choose to go through with this please don't lie about his age, ultimately your parents will find out somehow, they always do!
Also, you went on a date behind their backs, can you imagine how this will make them feel when they find out? Your mum has also said you can have a boyfriend next year, she is clearly putting these boundaries in place to protect you, like most parents. Now, I'm not saying you should just sit there and take that, but don't go behind their backs and be all two-faced like that, as it will hurt your parents if they discover it, as they're only trying to do their best for you, but do try and negotiate.
I will also leave you with a warning, when I was 14 I was in a relationship with a guy a LOT older than me, it can turn out really sticky for everyone involved, I was used quite badly, and I'd really hate to hear of this happening to anyone again, so please be careful honey
