how to introduce rodents to fresh food?

From Monday I'm officially allowed to start adding fresh food to the dry diet my pet mice are currently on, except I have no idea where to actually start.

-How often do I add fresh food?
-Will it really take a couple of days for them to get used to every single new food I offer them?
-Are human food treats considered "fresh food", and if so will I have to introduce them the same way?

Personal experience and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
 
first start giving it small bits of food, then increasing the amount, about every 2-3 days will do, to much of it will give them diroreah so... dont give them human food, unless it hasnt got additives ( sugar, salt, harmful veg and fruit for them ect ) some biscuits will be fine ( salt and sugar free )
