How to use the Polls below:

This is just my advice. Take it with the grain of salt it deserves. After all, you've no reason to think I'm being honest. Anyway, here it is.

Don't bother with the girls who, according to these polls here, are the top ranked masseuses in the business. The top 3 or 4? Don't bother with them.

The best girls are all amongst the lower ranked. By best I mean a combination of a) best looking; b) best technique; c) best personality; best intangibles.

My assumption? That my personal tastes are well-honed and accurate and not ranging into the strange. Sure taste is personal, but statistical patterns emerge. Most men agree Angelina Jolie is hotter than Jennifer Aniston. Most men agree Beyonce was the hottest chick in Destiny's Child, etc. (You all get the idea.)

(Really, my only point is that the results are a clear indicator of bias in the system. This can be due to how the poll is constructed; or it can be due to improper voting procedures (people voting more than once, or people voting for themselves, or people voting hoping to mislead, etc. I'd even wager that people are voting having never seen a large number of the girls in the poll. If true, what sense does it make to cast a vote that so-and-so is the hottest?)

So the advice stands. If you want the best girls, don't choose those ranked the best.

I guess this would be the margin of error. The poll can only be so accurate on a board where only 100 people voted. While I do agree to your logic that the highest rank girl will not always be the best for you. However, I really use the reviews to make my decisions, but yes, there can be biases in those as well.

While I certainly agree that POLLS can be biased I wouldn't rule them out altogether.

For instance, if a newbie decided to see Christina @ Platinum or Jenn @ HFH based on POLL results he'll probably enjoy himself.

Does that mean he won't like other less visible MPA's more? Of course not, but at least he's got a starting point.

It's also the same with reviews. I believe clients should look for TRENDS rather than taking a particular review at face value. For instance, if an MPA has 10 reviews and 7 are positive then most likely he'll enjoy himself.

If an MPA has mostly negative reviews then there's probably a reason for THAT too.

Unfortunately spotting trends effectively only comes with experience.

Usually when voting I think it's fair to assume thta the guys are going for the total package..... looks and quality of session. Looking at the HFH poll I'd agree that Jenn and Amber are among the best that HFH has to offer. I'd also agree that Crystal at S9 is also really good. And even Monica at SRM who before being removed from the poll was doing quite well.

Anyways, here are several examples of where top/high vote getters also turned out to be MPAs that I would agree are of high quality in a many different senses of the word.

If you can't have fun with these girls (Monica excluded from the list to prevent a 10 page free for all) then there's something wrong with you.

It's funny how you spend all this time pointing out that different people have different tastes and then you try and convince us that your tastes are the correct ones. Honestly I question your well honed taste if you don't think some of those top vote getting girls are not worthwhile.

Of course this doesn't mean one should ignore the bottom half of a poll. How much better are the top vote getters? Probably not by a lot.

I'm not trying to pick a fight with you it just seems that most people take these informal polls with a grain of proverbial salt and perhaps you too should do the same.

Are the polls accurate? Certainly not I agree that there are a number of factors that skew them but in looking at the polls in which I have a lot of experience at I would tend to agree with the overall rankings.

I have seen alot of the MPA's at the big four spas (too many) and I think the polls are a very fair reflection of who are the best MPA's. Some of the top vote getters I have seen I did not particularly connect with, and are not my thing for whatever reason; but I certainly was not surprised to see them so highly, because they had certain characteristics that would make them popular to others (with the exception of one person, but that is a personal issue).

And most of my favourites, not to my surprise, were fairly highly ranked. And the few that had less fanfare in the polls, still had positive reviews here.

I think the polls are fair representations. But there will be certain MPA's who will be popular because they have a characteristic that is appealing to a large group, but maybe it is not as appealing to all. Maybe that is your problem .. but as I said overall they are a fair representation.

girls are remarkably lowly ranked.

There are reasons for this. For instance:

a) Some girls are particular - and understandibly so. For the right guy and right amount of money you can have an amazing time.

b) Some girls are new(er). I'm claiming that at one of the spas just recently polled, the best girl, without question was very poorly rated. Being very well versed in her capabilities, and knowing the other girls in the spa reasonably well, the only conclusions possible are.......

Maybe stating this is the obvious but when the Bulls were dominating the NBA that did not suggest there weren't other good teams. Same thing applies here.... a MPA like Jenn gets a lot of votes but that shouldn't take aways from the quality of a lady like Selena.

The polls are simply guides, just as are reviews. I have stated on more than one occasion my polls are for entertainment purposes. they are not scientific and results are often skewed. However I personaly find the information contained in the polls and threads VERY informative. and I also find my favourites do very well. I have seen only 2 poll winners (Christina@Platinum and Crystal@S9) and those girls are definitly premier MPA's. I had an excellent time with both.

But who would you recommend at these places, and why?

I think Animal Magnetism did the board a service by trying to give a collective thumbs up/down on the girls - I think it'd be great if this were somehow incorporated into vBulletin. Of course you'd want to rate the reviewer as well...

A lot to ask for an $800 package.

a) I understand you want it as a guide - and I'm saying it's fairly crummy as a guide.

b) I understand the entertainment view - can't disagree with you.

Kracker - You ask me for actual advice. Well, I gave it - my advice is to check out, at any spa, the girls not in the top 3 or 4 positions and find a gem.

I'm not going to tell you who my favourites are, and I'm not going to say anything particularly horrible about the top 3 or 4.

But I will throw you a bone - the best girl at Utopia isn't in the top 3 or 4 or 5 or....

c) Muffin Muncher - Sure. It's a rant, if you want to see it that way. You always have the option of not reading me. But seriously, it's one thing to label it a "rant", it's another to disagree with it.

If I were you, I'd take the top 3 or 4 picks from those polls with a grain of salt. Disagree? Be my guest. As I said in the top post, take me with a grain of salt.

By the way, you don't have to bow down to me just because I have great taste in hot chicks.

Now your playing a different "game" and a different scale. I assume these polls are based on the services and MPA provides as part of the highest standard option (VIP + Body Slide).

The fact that you can pay for above the board extras to certain individuals does not make them a better "MPA", and is somewhat irrelevant.

Also it is not fair because you are a hot stud, the "right guy" as you put it, so your service level will be so much better then the rest of us.

IMO ... I get this feeling and usually go with it when I make my pick. Most of the time it's with someone off the trodden path, but other times the path is well worn and I am with one of these top ranked MPAs ... I treat both the same and there is no polarization.



NO. The best girls are out there and not discovered yet, when they are then they become the best girls. You just have to find them before then.



Most Men Agree ... are these also taken from polls? Would they not also suffer from some of the same deficiencies ... sample vs. population, etc.

Bias comes from multiple handles. Bias comes from those peeking and voting with the MPA with the most votes that they havent seen yet but vote anyways because they want to be left out or because they want to see the vote each time and are lazy in making a 2nd click. Bias comes from ... everywhere, you have said it all, almost.

Why? Because the ones that vote honestly hope that others will do so as well and the cumulation of those votes will outweigh the ones that don't.
