So basically I would like to say no tips, thank you! please come back and please refer. In a very sweet way. I don't like being too wordy.

You are stating a positive FIRST.
And face it, the word NO carries some emotion for most of us - it sounds more like an order or rule (and you know how people feel about those). The above message does not include a "no".

I like that a lot. Do you think the "is the best compliment" sounds weird. Like I need/want compliments? This stuff takes me forever, because I nitpick every word. :undecided:

When I read the above, it makes me think that you don't have to tip if you don't want to.....and that a referral would be fine. It isn't clear to me that there is NO TIPPING at all. Also, I prefer the word "gratuity" instead of "tip".

I think they are all great. Jasons idea is very good. Some people would be offended if they want to tip, and you insist on not taking it. It is standard practice to accept tips. Unless it is a clinical or medical setting. People don't tip their doc or chiro. However, at a spa, massage center, etc they generally do. Many people won't tip a sole proprietor or owner, as they probably shouldn't. But if they insist, I'll take it. It all helps with the bills

I'll be in a chiro's and the owner of my own business. I will graciously accept if people insist. I don't want people to think that they should tip or need to tip. I'm really hoping to promote massage as a wellness practice and try to get people out of that massage is a "treat" mindset. Wish me luck!

I would just post a simple sign, like any of the one's you and others suggested. If you are in a chiro's office, more than likely, most people won't tip anyway. Especially if they view your services as an extension of the chiro visit.

I've noticed that some people don't tip me just because I am one of the owners, but most people prefer to tip regardless. Some folks leave $3 after a 90-minute session of complex therapeutic work. Today a woman left $20 after I spent an hour doing gentle work on a single hand while she sat in a chair. *shrug*
