Police executed warrants at Main St. Spa, Li Ly Spa and Luna Spa on Monday, Nov. 25, 2024.
PLAINFIELD, Ind. — Plainfield police say they executed search warrants at three Plainfield massage parlors as part of a human and sex trafficking investigation.
The searches happened on Monday, Nov. 25, 2024 at the following three businesses:
- Main St. Spa
- Li Ly Spa
- Luna Spa
Police say they started their investigation into the spas after "numerous complaints from the community regarding suspected illegal activity, including prostitution, occurring at these establishments."
Police were investigating alleged corrupt business influence, promoting prostitution, racketeering and possible human trafficking.
Police say that on Nov. 25 "individuals were safely removed from these locations and their immediate needs are being addressed."
Police said the people are being treated with care and support for the survivors of human sexual trafficking.
13News has reached out to Plainfield Police to see if any arrests were made in connection with the searches.
“This investigation underscores our unwavering commitment to protecting vulnerable individuals from exploitation and holding those responsible for such crimes accountable,” said Plainfield Police Chief Kyle Prewitt. “Our focus is not just on enforcing the law but also on ensuring that survivors are supported and treated with the utmost respect and care.”
Police say the investigation is ongoing. If you have any information that can help, please contact Detective Nic Wennen at nwennen@plainfieldpd.org or 317-753-5276.
