I am a soon to be massage therapy student, so I am speaking from a future perspective. I met the massage therapist that I currently go to through the apartment complex where I live. She also lives at the complex and gives all residents a FREE 30 MINUTE MASSAGE EVERY WEEK! (Well, she offers one-not saying everyone gets one). Now, this is great for me of course, because I get free massages. I usually only do the 30 minute sessions, and I give her a tip. On the other hand, how could she just give away her services like that? She's working for 30 minutes free of charge. I know everyone doesn't tip, and like myself, alot of people probably don't upgrade (it's just straight pricing for an upgrade). I can see that this may get clients in the door for her, but I think it's a bit much, don't you? I can't see myself doing something like this when I start to practice
