I have a 9 wk old puppy (Lassa/shiatsu) and he frequently eliminates on his

training pad. However, ? when it comes to #2, h e eliminates on the floor in random places how do I discipline him and keep him on eliminating on his training pad?

hey smartie pants, I spelled it shitzu and lasha and yahoo SPELL CHECK changed it! Plus I've seen shitzu spelled both ways!

I think you should ditch the pads, go right for outside.
Praise him with tons of treats when he goes
scream and yell good boy and look extremely excited, even though poop isn't really exciting. LOL it will get him to pee and poo outside because dogs love treats, and the feeling of excitement.

ok well with my puppy everytime she had an accident i took her back to the pee pad and made her stand there and it doesnt matter if she leaves. go back clean up the mess with a paper towel but with one of the soaked up papers rub it on the pee pad so she has that smell there.

repeat as necessary but she should get the point pretty quickly.
mine learned in week when she was 2 months old. and shes gonna be 1 year old next month and has never had an accident since

Take him outside and train him to go outside. Pee pads only teach that it is ok to go inside and sooner or later he will start pissing off the pad. Yeah its winter, but you made the choice to get him now.
