I have had 3 reflexology sessions and I have fallen ill both time after I had them?

After the first session I felt very tired and unable to focus, after the second preety much the same very tried but had body ache all week and had flu/cold like symptoms and after the third I came down with a really bad cold and chesty cough. Is this a coincidence?

You fell ill after a foot massage? That's really not normal.

A foot massage will have no effect on any 'toxins' your body may have.

Have you discussed this with your practitioner?
I've had patients have treatment reactions before. On the rare occasions its happened 3 times I've discontinued treatment as this is not normal in most people.

Very difficult to answer such a question. To say there is a correct answer is a sign of academic arrogance. It could be coincidence, there could be something more behind it. The second is more probable than the first, that's all I can say from the facts and even more, from my vision and understanding which is deeper than the pseudoscientific academic statistic or over-simplified theoretical vision .

Oh yes, indeed, drink water after treatment, not too cold, body temperature water is the best for spleen-energy not to get out of balance.

I am a FootZone therapist which is like reflexology. It's normal for your body to be eliminating toxins after being worked on. Any range of things can happen, diarrhea, cough, sinus trouble. All I can say is the sessions didn't make you sick, but if you are going to be sick, the sessions can bring it on faster and harder, but they will generally be shorter AND you will have eliminated more toxins than normal.

My advice is to drink lots of water after a session, take vitamins regularly and keep getting worked on!

Reflexology is nothing but a relaxing foot massage, unless your reflexologist sneezed in your face, it did not make you ill.

Before doing any kind of detoxification of your body, you need to first make sure all your elimination organs are in good working order and that the cellular energy of your cells is high enough to eliminate properly. If you do not do these things, any detox can have the opposite effect on your body and the toxins will end up deeper into your tissues.

A very important aspect of a liver / gallbladder cleanse is the preparation and is far more important than the actual cleanse itself.

When done properly, the detoxing experience can usually only give a slight tired feeling. With the symptoms you are describing, I suspect the person doing the reflexology does not understand the full process.

They say detoxing is not necessary, but will turn around and tell you DRUGS and SURGERY are the only solutions to problems. Then we see that iatrogenic deaths are the leading cause of death in the U.S. above ANY disease we face today.

In July 2004, Gary Null Ph.D, Carolyn Dean M.D., N.D, Martin Feldman M.D., Debora Rasio M.D., Dorothy Smith Ph.D. wrote a paper that revealed very disturbing facts regarding an annual iatrogenic (induced inadvertently by a physician or surgeon or by medical treatment or diagnostic procedures) death rate of 783,936 in one year. It is further disturbing to realize that as few as 5 percent and only up to 20 percent of iatrogenic acts are ever reported. This means that that iatrogenic death rate of 783,936 is most likely much higher.

As we look at the causes of death from degenerative diseases and other causes in America in 2004, it is obvious we are not good at solving this problem on any level.

When comparing the iatrogenic acts of modern medicine in America with the statistical numbers of people dying of any particular disease, it is evident that the American medical system is the leading cause of death and injury in the United States. And when we look at the cost of these iatrogenic deaths, the cost is in the billions. For any of them to have the arrogance to troll this site and act holy than thou claiming they are "scientific" and somehow smarter than people who do not buy into the DRUG CULTURE that is obviously killing more people than any disease is just silly.
