It was sort of a last minute decision, because I rescued this tiny puppy from being thrown out or being taken to the pound. I now have her and she is adorable as can be and sweet! The only problem is my one year old maltese, who is like attached to me, is jealous. But I am also attached to my maltese, and she is breaking my heart because she is acting different around me since I brought the puppy home. She usually stays beside me or in my lap, she will give me a kiss if I ask for one, and plays with me or tries to play with me. Now she will barely sit in my lap and sit next to me. But if the other puppy is on the same couch as we are on (I don't even have to hold her), she leaves and goes to another place. She isn't as playful and the only time she acts as happy as she use to be is when I take her outside and play with her without the puppy. Or when only me and her go for a ride. She won't give me kisses and she usually sleeps right by my side at night then wakes me up with good morning kisses! Now she sleeps at the end of my bed and doesn't get around me in the morning except to let me know she needs to go out. I am spending way more time with her than the puppy. What else can I do??? Any suggestions, help, or tips? I have only had the puppy since this monday, and this morning she seemed to warm up to her because she played with her for like literally less than a minute, but then after those few seconds, went back to acting this way.
