I need info on computer designing for a newbie?

Ok so I know the basics of computter designing but I want to further my knowledge. Stuff like what different things on C++ or visual basic mean. Like with all the parenthesis and what not. I do not want instructions on doing something, just an explanation of what they mean, like edi or [ strange text here]}627. LoL

things in parentheses in most coding languages are string variables. If you wanted your screen to show the words "Hello World", in the language Visual Basic, this is what you would type
SYNC ON
SYNC RATE 30
REM Defined
$a=(Hello World)

REM Print
PRINT $a
SYNC
END

C++, Visual Basic, Java, those are all languages. Every coding language has a different way of writing things.

Another thing is where you see the line is moved to the side, thats just to help you organize things. It doesnt affect the coding in any way. Its easier to navigate the code if things are divided into groups like that.
