I need Insurance!!!!

Hello everyone,

I've tried looking up my own informtion on the web and on the forum but I haven't had any luck. I love in North Carolina and I need insurance. I know I need liability for my office and malpractice but where do I get it from? I called one insurance company who told me if they did it, it'll be about $1700 a year! In school, they gave us two packets but I accidently threw them out. I think that both insurances were from the massage boards or something like that? I looked on their websites and couldn't find anything. Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

Get your malpractice from one of the massage associations - it's generally about 100 per year plus dues/fees, depending on which one you choose. Some will sell it separately.

The liability for your office, if you mean slip and fall type of coverage, is the responsibility of the landlord.

Coverage for the contents of your office is sometimes included with a malpractice policy.

Most people are insured through the big three although there are others out there.

Pick up a trade magazine at Borders or Barnes & Noble, they have ads for most all of them.

From a post I placed on another thread, insurance, which may be of assistance:

SAFECO http://www.safeco.com/for_your_business/default.asp has business liability insurance for around $50.00 per month... and that covers a pretty large range of needs and whatnot from what I can tell. You'd have to find an agent in your area that works with them.
