I? or We?

If you are a single MT marketing yourself, do you refer to yourself in your promotional materials as I? or we? As in "Let us work out those knots..."

To me, the plural sounds more professional but I am after all, just a "me!"

To muddy the waters just a bit, I'm currently IC'ing in a shop where there is another MT/esthetician (who does some massage but only actively markets new clients for the esthetics) so the "we" could sound OK, but I'm marketing just me.

Now that "I" is now a "we" it's hard to get used to saying "we" and "us" LOL.

Sorry I couldn't get to your post sooner. Had a few complications logging in - my comp was eating my screens.

I also used "I" when I was in practice by myself. Now, no longer solo and use "we".

I'm a solo and I use 'we' and say I am the primary therapist. I do mention we only have one clinic room available for massage therapy, implying there are more rooms, just not being used for massage therapy.

I do offer spa parties and get in other therapists for those so those really are 'we'. Also if you ever expand in the future, using 'we' now makes it easier for the change over.

Using the internet for advertising, I think it is a lot safer making it sound as big as possible, and no mention of working from home.

Sounding like a big day spa (the list of what I offer, massage/spa/beauty is more than most full service spas LOL!) has meant I've been contacted by some interesting product lines when they first hit the country, they do a bit of research online and decide my business might be a good place for retailing their products I'm off to a trade show next week and rather than being a massage therapist, I am an owner of a health and wellness centre (even if it is a centre of one), being the owner of a centre makes the people at the trade show give you lots more free samples and offers

I think I use a bit of both. My husband is a "silent partner" so sometimes I say "we" in marketing materials, and eventually I will be a multiple practitioner facility so it will be a "we" the for sure. When writing to my clients or about the services that I offer I use "I" because I am the only therapist I use. But when it comes to marketing from my business name standpoint sometimes it is "we".

i am solo too and i usually use we or us only because i don't care to advertise too much that i'm only an i or me. don't much want people to know i'm the only one in the office. besides, i think sometimes it just sounds better. i don't really know why i think that though. actually, i just sent over some changes to be made on my website and i notice that most of the time i put we but i did add an i in there too.

I and me... even if there are others, because I am still the one doing the work... and I will be the one that will give the impression if they want to return or not due to my work...

I had some safety concerns as well; wanted to give the impression there are others around (and in my case, there are)

as for being a "centre of one"... I think that's cool, you seem very centered to me!
