Today i adopted my first dog from my local kill shelter. Hes a 2 yr old Cocker spaniel and we've named him Danny. He has been all wags and smiles since we left that dreary shelter. He needs a groom and has to wear the cone of shame for a few days(neuter surgery) but i think he's a cutie anyways. I have never seen such a happy dog, the tail never stops wagging. Thanks to everyone who answered my previous questions about cockers and what to expect. So far he has not exhibited any food/toy aggression, he seems to love cats and other dogs ad well as kids. I'll be keeping an eye on him as he adjusts to his new home but i wanted to share our story and say thanks to those who gave great advice. Here's a pic and thanks for reading...

I have two Cocker's :) And know that I highly respect you for saving an innocent dog's life. I have no doubt that you will have endless fun with Danny, and love every minute with him. Congrats!
