I'd like to hear from mobile IHM therapists please

I've currently offering holistic and sports massage as a mobile therapist and would like to top up my therapies by learning something new in the new year.

Before blindly booking on a course I'd like to hear from mobile therapists as to what percentage of their bookings are for IHM [presuming it's not your only therapy] - or from those who only do IHM how many clients you treat a week.

Also, is it possible to incorporate certain IHM massage techniques with the client in supine or if you wanted to do some IHM would it require that the client be seated?

Hi ya

There was a time I did quite a bit IHM and Reflexology mobile. Then I started practising Deep Tissue & Thai Yoga Massage, and I have hardly done any IHM since. I still use some of the techniques in the context of Seated Thai massage, and IHM is popular at summer festivals I may attend.

I have a theory (especially in a county like Cornwall where there is smaller amounts of disposable income) that if someone if going to spend good money on a treatment, they will pay the extra £5 or 10 difference for a full body massage. I don't blame them, I feel the same myself!

Yogajoga: I agree with you that IHM can be added to SAM and would be a lot more versatile.
