To be honest, the RLD is rough but it isn't any scarier than any UK city on a Saturday night. There were a few arseholes hanging about but I didn't have any major problems.

cheers guys - i've decided to stay in hahn and get a decent nights kip before venturing into frankfurt on friday.

I intend to give the palace a go .... i was thinking about checking out the rld, but having read through some of the other posts it sounds a bit scary.

any thoughts?

that is true,but if he wants to kill time he can also go to alot of dance clubs located in frankfurt,and after that go to the red light district.that would be a good way to kill time.we have some first class clubs here and the number 1 nightlife here ;-) checkout cocoon club,u60311,monza etc.

Hi, cocopopple,
On reaching the station, be inside the station (Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof). As the moment you step out of the station you will find drug addicts/drunk, and crossing the main road will take you to Kaiser Strasse, (red light area of Frankfurt) not advisable to visit alone at that hour. However there is a McDonald joint there, dont remember if its open 24hrs, if yes you can buy a burger/coffee and carry some reading material and spend the 3 to 4 hours there until its morning.

Remember to take ample rest befor going to FKK if you want to have a good time there.

Hi

I'm off to Frankfurt in April to try out the FKKs i've read so much about. My flight lands in Frankfurt Hahn at 10.30pm on a wednesday. I can get a bus to Frankfurt station, but it doesn't get there until 3am.

Anyone know of anywhere I could go to kill a few hours and thus save me the cost of a night in a hotel?
