Wanted to say how much I enjoyed IDEM. A very good vibe in the place, very Tico and very warm. I liked it. Andrea, a new girl (or so she says, and believe her) and Stephanie. I was Andrea by herself, and then the two of them together (I pay attention to Dave’s posts, ah). Andrea is slightly dark, thin, seductive looking, and Tica. Gfe, bbbj, and seemed to honestly enjoy the sexo, which was very good. Kind and un-jaded, and exceptionally passionate. Very good, tight bod. Not quiet a spinner, but no K*ds either. Very nice. Stephanie and Andrea together were a lot of fun. After I was with Andrea, I asked her which girl she was close to, and she mentioned Stephanie, whom we had been hanging out with earlier. Stephanie is half German, big blue eyes, lovely. Her body is not as tight as Andrea; she has K*ds. Not as passionate, but they were a good combo, and both took directions well. I recommend as a tandem. Also, the pictures of Karla on Don Gordo’s cite do not do her justice. She is beautiful, and I look for to returning to see how she is (I had to leave the next day).

I had a session at Idem this past Monday (trip report in the works),
and I thought the room was rather nice, good size bed.
I think the drinks cost too much though, and I wasn't too thrilled about paying an extra 500 for a condom. Here is a breakdown of what an hour session cost me;

Just teasing ya Psychman. Seriously though, IDEM is one of my favorite places in San Jose. Who really cares how nice the room is as long as the bed is comfortable and the girl is hot. The one problem though is that the rooms can get pretty hot as well, at least if you go there at a hot time of the day. I'm not sure if they have any A/C upstairs, but it doesn't seem like it. If you go there when it is extra hot, you might want to consider paying the extra 2K colones or so for the downstairs room which definitely IS air-conditioned. OTOH, the bar downstairs always seems comfortable no matter how hot it gets out on the street. It's a great place to chill out, sip an ice cold Imperial (still cheaper than at the BM) and sit back and check out the selection of senoritas (w/o all the hustle and pressure you often get at the BM).

I did my primary trip in 8/2000. I had read all about Idem through redsnake and clubhombre. Had tons of notes. Guys like Bushpilot, Rio Papa Noel and others gave it nothing but high marks. So I was ready.

Cab takes me there and I walk in. Dimly lit and it looked like nothing but locals, so I spin right around and catch the cab back to the hotel. Two days later the exact same thing. Scared and intimidated. Idem was off the list. Funny that I have been to several places in Mexico that was just like this place and I never felt scared. Maybe being in CR versus 10 minutes from the USA from Nuevo Laredo was a major factor.

Next trip in 2/2002. Screw it, I had kept reading good things about Idem since the last trip. Actually it was one of the CR standards that one must do. So I walked in, and sat and had a beer. Basically I decided to give the place a chance, no matter what. I have given it several chances since then and all sessions, outside one, have been given the highest marks. The bad one is that I was the first gringo that some gal fresh out of the rainforest had ever had in the sack. She was 20 at most and was one of the most beautiful chicas I have ever seen. Seems that I am a big fellow, 6'1" 250 and I guess she had never been with a big guy (cut through the chase...fat dude) before. She didn't speak or comprende ingles. She tried and tried, but was extremely nervous. I give her 'e' for effort, but it just did not happen.

IMHO there are two 'rights of passages', things one must do when visiting CR for the first time. One is the Park oil show and Idem is the other.

I've been saying I'll try it out, but since everyone says that Zona Blue and New Fantasy are cleaner, they open earlier, and I've always walked there during daylight hours, stil haven't made it to Idem.

Maybe one of these days I'll get to the second 'rights of passages' .... and even though I pulled Roxana out of the Park "show" one year (my one and only trip), I'm not planning to go see it again.

A few more suggestions re:IDEM. I'm not sure where this rundown impression comes from. It may not be as polished as ZB and NF, but it is way ahead of other MP's like 747, the old Arte's or Eros just across the street and certainly a LOT cleaner than the Park Hotel. Some locals hang out there but a lot of gringos go there too. I feel perfectly comfortable just hanging out there a while before I make my selection. And Roberto, the owner, is perfectly cool.

The neighborhood outside is not the best after dark so if you go there late take a cab. Unlike ZB and NF it is open until midnight. Personally, I like to hit those MP's in the late morning or early afternoon, when the girls are still relatively fresh, and then do my IDEM run in the late afternoon or early evening. I like to walk there, but then I'm a walker. It's far enough (about 5-6 blocks south of the DR) that if you are lazy, tired or simply prefer greater security, a cab is also a reasonable choice. I have an Imperial or just a bottle of water, check out the selection of chicas, try to make a little eye contact with the ones I like and then walk over to them when I am ready. I kinda like the fact that there is no hustle there at all. You are the one that has to make the first move. Afterwards, I walk across the street and up a few doors for dinner at Tin Jo and after that, when darkness has finally fallen, grab a cab for the short ride back to the Gulch. I've also walked there and back after dark, but would be lynched if I were to recommend it for the uninitiated.

I still haven't visited Oasis yet, but I think a similar strategy makes sense there with a late afternoon or early evening visit followed up with dinner at Machu Pichu. That is more like 20 blocks west of the DR, so even I would grab a cab both ways for that particular little foray.

I "2nd that emotion". MY 11th trip to CR and my first trip to IDEM just weeks ago. Khunt & I really liked the set up. No pressure, lots of girls to choose and you get to pick! Worked out to be a great experience. IDEM is on the list for Sept. Zona Blue #1, IDEM #2, and Del Rey down to #3. Hell, after a few beers they’re all great. Wish I was back there right now.

The condom hustle is a real head-scratcher. I've hint-complained about it for years but it's not going to change. I'm told the senora who takes care of things upstairs gets that concession--although I know many girls also have a purseful of them. Anyway, shrug it off and bring your own. You also might bring a little lubricant if you like-need it because unlike the better MP´s not all the girls will have it.

One unmentioned benefit of Idems is that if you want a chica who will do this or that you can ask Roberto for help in choosing one. It feels weird, I know, but this is actually one of the reasons you're paying on the high end. If you just pick the chick that catches your eye she may or may not touch all the bases you want touched. If you tell Roberto you want a chica that does X she will do X. You can even have him call over the chica who catches your eye and have him tell her you are a client who wants X. It won´t then be a slam dunk, but your odds go up.

I always bring my own condoms from the US. The Tico condoms are of questionable quality, and like they said, they sometimes charge a lot for them. Be like a boy scout and always be prepared.

YO Idem Enthusiasts:

Idems is still my favorite MP even though the rooms are not that great. The only problem is when going early, there are usually only 4 to 6 girls on the wall. The extra dinero for the cooler rooms is worth it.......I always hate it when I'm lying on my back and the chica is thumping out the sweat collected in my navel.......feel like a beached whale.

The cost of drinks is rediculous but hell I just order a coke and whip out a mini of vodka from my booze pouch. I don't think Roberto has ever noticed my stash since I'm a bit more sneaky about my minies when at Idems........except for in the rooms. One of my favorite moments is when la chica sits on my chest and holds the mini to my lips and nurses me.......Okay, so I'm weird.

As for Idem condoms.......they are not very strong. You should see how they stretch after I clean one and blow dry it for re-use when I return to the Pres. Not to mention they fall off my pecker when I stand up. Oh well, we all have our problems.

What's the plus in having BIG mirrors all over? Hell, I almost went into cardiac arrest at ZB when I glanced up to the ceiling and saw a bloated and pasty white fat guy staring back at me! Scary.
