Hi everyone. I'm opening a hot yoga and movement studio in Brooklyn, NY. This is the first time I will be coordinating/hiring/managing a bodywork component. The studio will be handling bookings through the front desk and from our website. Before I make any avoidable mistakes, I was wondering if any of you might be willing to fill out this survey I threw together for my bodyworker friends. I'd like to have a really fair and pleasurable experience here and at the same time I'm a small biz owner who really does need to make $....
Profound gratitude to anyone who takes the time to consider these questions. And if you are in the area, you can check out the studio at http://www.sacredbrooklyn.com in case you are a good fit or know someone who might be. Also, if anyone has a waiver that they think is amazing, codes of conduct they adore or a contract for hire that really rocked their world, I'm drafting all these documents and would love samples that support everyone in clarity and abundance.
Sacred will be doing all of the booking of appts online and through the front desk. There will also be perks for the therapists including membership to the studio.
There are a lot of questions here so feel free to just answer whatever calls to you or nothing at all. Also, if you have someone near and dear to you that you think might have some valuable insights, please feel free to pass it on. Thank you for your contributions to this dream. Massive love.
1. I was thinking of these 5 treatment modalities as offerings to begin with. I can combine, rephrase, add or subtract. How do they land for you?
Deep Tissue Massage
Pre/Post-Natal Massage
Acupuncture and Herbs
Thai Massage
Shamanic Healing Session
2. Are there any on-hand supplies, I need to have that a therapist would not be bringing on their own. Most therapists would come to the site 1-2 days per week. I have massage table, stool, massage table cover, small table, lighting, wall cabinet, towels.
3. What do you feel is appropriate pricing for these services in Brooklyn. 60 minutes and 90 minutes
4. Is there anything you wish would be spelled out in the waiver or on the website before a client walks into the room that isn't obvious?
5. Are there any resources you think I should definitely know about?
6. Do you have any recommendations for practitioners, especially in the area?
7. What do you feel like is a fair perceneforum.xxxe division in terms of payment to therapist/payment to studio? Think like a healer and a studio owner please.
8. Is there a description of these services in your mind or somewhere online that you think really hits the nail on the head? If so, care to share a few key phrases or point me in the direction of a website?
9. In the role of practitioner, if you were to work out of a movement studio a day or 2 out of the week, what could make it a really awesome experience for you?
10. Anything else?
