IHM & A&P

Hi all i don't know much about Indian Head Massage yet, but reading about it on here it does sound interesting, Should you do a course in A & P first before doing the IHM course. I have just done my Reiki 1 attunment, so also i am wondering does anyone here combine the two or feel that one helps the other, thanks.

I did the VTCT course in IHM (there's a lot about that on another thread but I have to say that my course and tutor were great). There is an A&P section within the course that deals solely with the areas used for IHM. So you don't need to do extra A&P for that course. Not sure if it is different for ITEC. Reiki and IHM can be combined very successfully - I find.

I also chakra balance at the end of IHM and if appropriate i also give a "blast" of reiki as well....

Hi Hawkwind,

As has been said, if you do the VTCT course in IHM you will do the apropriate A & P.

Also, the way we were taught (I qualified in January but am still awaiting my certificate[&:]) we commenced treatment with a short connection to the front of the Third Eye Chakra and the back of the Throat Chakra. If there was time at the end we finished in the same way.

I just gave Reiki during these two periods and found that the Reiki flowed throughout the rest of the treatment making it more effective. It can certainly do no harm.

IHM is one of the few therapies the FHT will insure for without A&P, I managed to get insured with just that and reiki prior to taking my exams last year and they were fine about it. I'd say do the A&P anyway cause it's so useful.
