IHM advice needed

I am hopefully about to qualify in body massage, but feel very inadequate massaging faces, and heads. I have thought that if I do a one day certified course in IHM such as the Gateway ones, it might help my confidence. It would also give me another angle on my treatments.

My other option is to buy a good DVD, which would be cheaper, but I wouldnt get the personal guidance I need.

I love the idea of a 'portable ' therapy that I can do without needing a table, and should also be able to bring the skills into couch massage.

What do you think ???

DVD or day cours???

(I dont have the funds for a longer cours at present)

If you only want to 'brush up' on your face massage, I would suggest a DVD. Its the cheaper option and you can watch it over and over again until your confidence builds.

Hi dawndaisy,

I have two IHM dvds that you may have as I no longer need them but was looking for someone to pass them on to. I took a VTCT course and the routine is quite different from those shown on the dvds but as with most things, you take what you need and disregard the rest.

They are informative but if you ever do get the opportunity to take a course I would reccommend it.
