IHM and Hand Massage

Hi ya

What do you think of massaging the arms and hands as part of a IHM treatment. There are at least two IHM books on the market which has arm & hand routine included with the Indian head massage.

Personally I can see great therapeutic benefits in this, but is it going away from the idea of giving a Indian head massage?

Is this evolution or *******isation?

Is IHM evolving into a broader holistic seated massage?

Hiya, I learnt IHM with back and arm routine included and see it as maybe a general westernisation of the treatment and to make it more attractive and beneficial for the client.

I'm glad you feel it's a good idea to do the arms and back. But I have to admit that it is a step away from providing a head massage. Personally I think it should be called Indian Head & Upper Body Massage, but I know it won't go down well with some of the traditionalists.

What does other HP users think of this?

The one day course that i did in Indian head included the top of the arm but as i am looking to do corporate massage i have included the hands as well. Which i personally enjoying giving, its nice to know that other people do the same, i seem to forget that massage is not black and white but very grey, that you should do what feels natural at the time.
