ihm and stomach cancer

hi there

my friends husband has been diagnosed with stomach cancer over christmas and was wondering if ihm would be dangerous in his condition or if it may help. I am thinking more in terms of helping him relax through this time.

any help would be appreciated.

It will depend upon your training and how you feel about treating him. Sorry to be blunt here, it's not my intention.. if he's undergoing treatment and there's real hope, get him to talk about it with his oncologist and confirm it's ok. So far I've not had a single no from a specialist- after all, you're de-stressing them. If it's terminal and there is no hope, what harm can you do? Give him some time where he can feel touch without judgement or pity? This is something many with terminal illnesses crave, people withdraw from them, it can be a lonely time.

That massage spreads cancer is an old wives tale.. you can't do harm, you can only promote love.

thanks for the reply they only found the cells on fri and he had his biopsy yesterday he will find out a week on monday the ins and outs and treatment plan etc i'm just lookinginto itso i can start straight away if its ok.
