IHM course for beginner york

Can anyone help, I have just completed reiki 1 I hope to do reiki 2 and have an interest in doing IHM course. I have a couple of courses available in my area but there is a 1day course and a 10wk course, Im waiting to hear back from the lady who teaches 1 day to get more detail. My reiki 1 was self study for 3wks and a 1 day practical workshop, I personally found that ok for me. What would your advise be please?

I went to a young woman who had done a one day course (she proudly pointed out her 'Diploma' which was framed and on the wall). She had no other bodywork experience, and sadly it showed. It was dreadful and painful in places. When I mentioned that some of the pressure she was exerting was extremely painful, she said that it was just my body resisting in places where there was a 'build up of toxins' - what a load of .......... !! The bruises lasted nearly 2 weeks. I never went back and recommended that she do more training. This was about 4 years ago. She is now a hairdresser.
Please consider doing a course where you are going to get plenty of hands-on experience with other therapists - plus, hopefully, a good theoretical grounding.

I teach a variety of one day courses, with a small class and good tuition techniques can be learned well. Yes you will need to go away and practice but in my experience students do this to gain confidence before charging for treatments anyway.
It's good to have choices, if a one day class seems the right way for you go for it, if you prefer to learn in baby size bites then a longer class would suit better.
