IHM on HIV sufferer

Hi anyone!

I've just done a 2 day IHM course which was great, I now have to practice on a couple of friends and family and go back after 6 case studies to demonstrate my IHM techniques then I'm fully qualified to practice on the general public.

A friend of mine at work (who is HIV positive) has asked coud he be a guinea pig. Does anyone know what effects an IHM may have on this condition? He's 21 and looks healthy enough??

for me it wouldnt be a problem, however since you are doing this as a case study maybe get him to phone his gp and ask for ok, or at least get your friend to sign to say he has...

I have often given IHM or shiatsu to people who are HIV+ with no problems, but if you need to put your mind at rest, then get him to sign a disclaimer beforehand, or ask him to check with his GP.
