IHM with clothes on

Hi there,

Does anybody have any tips how to administer Indian Head Massage with clothes on?

Apologies, I posted an answer in ignorance - all the IHMs I've had have been clothed, but generally when I've had clothing that was loose around the shoulders and neck so the practitioner could work underneath, or work outside the clothing similar to a chair/on-site massage.

Hi pandie, I only tend to treatments with clothes on when I go to any events promoting myself with taster sessions. The same principles are applied when you do a treament with clothes on. I just find that you can't really work on the client in the same way and depending on what they are wearing, they can feel the clothes scratching, rubbing etc. It's best for them to wear something loose. I also tend to do work a little bit slower in a way to avoid any friction that they may feel from their clothes if that makes sense. Hope that helps

I qualified in ITECs IHM in April this year but haven't used it. I thought I'd take a stand at a School Fund Raising Event. Your comments are appreciated.
