...students charging, can I do this? So, like I said above, I have heard a few people that stated they charged for massages when they were students. I was always told that we couldn't because I'm not licensed. So if I'm unable to charge a fee (although the place I'm doing my internship can) can I accept tips, or if the establishment I'm working at charges, can I request a percentage? Its tough being a full time student, mother and jobless. Thank you.

If they told you that you can't, then you can't. It's illegal pretty much everywhere to practice massage for a fee without a certification/license, although usually it's ok to accept tips (I don't know where you are and this is different everywhere so check with someone in your school or where you're interning to be sure). If you think it's tough being a full-time student and a mother, just wait until you get caught doing that and are denied your license because of it. Then not only will you have no job, you'll have just spent all that money on school for nothing. Have patience, and it will pay off in the end, believe me.
