I am so excited! At our ribbon cutting last Wednesday (the one for the "larger area" Chamber- the smaller, local one hasn't happened yet), I noticed on the vehicle of one of the attendees the same bright pink magnet that I had seen a few days earlier on a car parked at the Curves next door. It's to advertise a "Mom's Expo", to be held at a local church later this month. So I ran to stop the lady, asking her to tell me about it. She gave me information about the expo, including the email address of the lady who is heading up the vendors. She thought it a great idea for me to get into, if I could.
But, even better (or maybe just as good?), is that she invited me to their MOPS meeting for tomorrow. MOPS would be great enough, but this is their open house, so even more ladies will be there! She said I'll be able to introduce myself and my business. Being a mom of 9, including a current 2yo, and having had a "life-saving" experience with MOPS back when my olders.... weren't, I feel like I'll have a real audience in these ladies (both for promoting my business as well as being able to possibly help some of them through my own experiences).
MOPS, for the uninitiated, is Mothers Of PreSchoolers. It's a support group for moms with little ones. It is very widely known (at least among mothers, lol) and should provide me a great "target" for my business- especially once I start in with prenatal massage, after I've taken the course at the end of the month. I can't WAIT!!!!!
